We don't sell clothes.
We pass down evidence.
We started 1948 Society to make a record of what cannot be erased. Every piece is a footnote. Every stitch a citation.
1948 is the year of the Nakba — the catastrophe — but it is also a year that refuses to end. It is the present tense of a people who keep their keys, their olive trees, their songs. We wear the year because the year is not over.
The Home Jersey is cream because home is the colour of warm linen. The Away Jersey is black because exile is night. The 48 on the back is not a number on a shirt. It is a question the world has not answered.
From the river to the sea — Palestine will be free. We say it on the front of our chests because we will not be made to say it quietly.
Three commitments.
Every motif, glyph and shade is researched. Nothing decorative. Nothing borrowed without crediting.
Limited runs, heavyweight fabrics, hand-finished crests. We make less, slower, on purpose.
10% of every drop goes to medical aid in Gaza and the West Bank, reported quarterly.
The first drop is here.
Five pieces. One promise. US-wide.
